The spectrum matters

Frequency and wavelength distinguish different parts of the electromagnetic spectrum. Radiofrequency energy used for communications is non-ionizing, while X-rays and gamma rays are ionizing.

RF and heating

WHO identifies tissue heating as the principal established biological effect of sufficiently intense RF exposure. Public exposure limits are designed around established effects and safety margins.

Low-frequency fields

Power systems also produce electric and magnetic fields at much lower frequencies than Wi-Fi or cellular radios. Different instruments and exposure guidelines apply.

Biological effect is not the same as harm

A measurable biological response does not automatically equal an adverse health effect. This distinction is central to evaluating wellness-product studies.
