Somavedic’s main devices require power. WaveGuard describes its core personal products as passive and says they do not require batteries. That practical difference affects travel, placement and what mechanism the manufacturer claims.
How WaveGuard describes its mechanism
WaveGuard uses language about scalar or longitudinal waves, internal coils, rare-earth crystalline materials and passive resonance. These are company descriptions. Because the terminology reaches beyond ordinary RF-shielding language, the research method is more important than the label.
How Somavedic differs
Somavedic combines a powered device, glass/crystal construction, environmental harmonization language and water-related claims. It is generally presented as a premium home object rather than a personal passive device.
Read studies by endpoint
If a WaveGuard study reports heart-rate variability, that is an HRV result—not automatically proof of reduced RF exposure or disease prevention. The same rule applies to Somavedic tests. Identify the endpoint before accepting the conclusion.
Do not confuse these with shielding
Both brands can appear in “EMF protection” searches while making claims that differ from conventional signal attenuation. A buyer who specifically wants lower meter readings should compare shielding and source reduction separately.
Which direction fits?
WaveGuard may appeal to shoppers who want a passive portable device and are interested in its scalar-resonance explanation. Somavedic may appeal more to a design-conscious shopper wanting a stationary home device and broader company-described wellness features.
