Bottom lineStart with use case, not model prestige. Vedic Gen. 2 is the company’s mainstream bestseller, Amber is positioned as a stronger premium device, and Traveller is the portable option. Treat performance language as merchant positioning unless a specific measurable outcome is independently demonstrated.

The short version

For a first whole-home purchase, Vedic Gen. 2 is the obvious reference point because Somavedic calls it a bestseller and markets it for homes and offices. Amber sits above it as a premium model. Traveller is designed for cars, hotel rooms and other mobile or smaller-space use. Accessories such as Tiny do not substitute for a powered primary device.

How to compare fairly

Compare models on dimensions you can verify: price, physical size, power requirements, portability, materials, return eligibility, warranty wording and merchant-described use cases. Be more cautious with claims such as being a certain multiple “stronger” unless the company defines the metric and provides reproducible measurement methods.

Vedic Gen. 2

Somavedic currently lists Vedic Gen. 2 as its bestseller and markets it for apartments, houses, offices and larger spaces. It is the cleanest baseline for comparing the rest of the line because it occupies the center of the company’s positioning.

Amber and higher-tier options

Amber is marketed as a stronger premium device and currently costs substantially more than Vedic. A higher price does not itself establish a proportionally larger health or environmental effect. Buyers should look for the metric behind comparative strength claims and decide whether the design, materials and company-defined performance justify the difference.

Traveller, Tiny and portability

Traveller is a powered compact model for travel, cars and hotel rooms. Tiny is different: Somavedic says it is charged beside a compatible powered Somavedic and then carried with you. Tiny therefore makes sense as an accessory for an existing owner rather than a first device.
